The Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds are pleased to announce a partnership with world class athletic apparel provider BLK.
The deal will see the Gold Coast-based company manufacture the club’s playing dress, performance kit and supporter’s merchandise range until 2020.
BLK also becomes Netball Queensland’s preferred athletic apparel supplier and will produce ranges for its high performance teams and competitions.
BLK CEO Tyron Brant said the Firebirds partnership was a vital pillar of the company’s vision to support the booming growth and success of elite women’s sport.
“Like the Queensland Firebirds, BLK are innovators. We want to break the mould and push the boundaries of elite sporting performance through cutting edge apparel,” Brant said.
“Our partnership with the Firebirds is one of the crown jewels in our vision to invest evenly in elite men’s and women’s sport moving forward.”
“Netball Queensland and the Firebirds have shown unrivalled dedication to growing netball and we can’t wait to work together to continue that mission.”
Netball Queensland CEO Catherine Clark said the partnership was a perfect fit for both the Firebirds and the state’s passionate netball community.
“We are excited to welcome BLK to the Firebirds family and Netball Queensland community,” Clark said.
“Our shared passion for empowering women and dedication to performance will strengthen both organisations and have a hugely positive impact from the elite right down to the grassroots.
“I look forward to forward to seeing how far we can push the envelope together in 2018.”
