Australian Cricket has announced a new partnership with Australian sports apparel company BLK for domestic cricket.

The deal will formally begin ahead of the 2018-19 season and run through until 2021.

It will see all State Associations and the Northern Territory welcome BLK as their on-field and off-field apparel supplierplus Cricket Australia XI for the JLT One-Day Cup.

The new partnership will also extend to CA Umpires for domestic matches, plus All Abilities and Indigenous teams.

BLK is already a provider for Australian Cricket, including JLT One-Day Cup and Women’s National Cricket League playing uniforms, and JLT Sheffield Shield playing shirts.

It is a deal that will create a streamlined and consistent apparel process across States and Cricket Australia, and offer significant operational and commercial benefits across Australian Cricket.

Cricket Australia’s Chief Financial Officer, Todd Shand, said:

“We are excited to be entering into this significant partnership with BLK,” Shand said.

“It allows a streamlined process across Australian Cricket, and having one supplier will be of financial benefit across the board – tying into the new Australian Cricket Strategy and our objective to maximise long-term sustainable revenue to drive investment in the game.

“We are confident this will be a success for all parties involved, and another of many future collaborative partnerships across Australian Cricket.

“The quality of BLK products is already well-known across Australian Cricket, with our domestic teams utilising their on-field range over the past four seasons. Our players expect high-quality products to enable them to perform at their best, and we are confident this deal will continue to deliver that.”

BLK Chief Executive Officer, Tyron Brant, said:

“The new BLK and Cricket Australia deal is the largest and most innovative technical supply kit program in Australia. This program will ensure that all levels of cricket, from the professional state programs to grass root programs, benefit from the investment of BLK into the game.”
